HR Giving and Volunteering Policy Toolkit

In recent years, corporate philanthropy programs – often a key part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) – have come to the forefront of discussions about corporate performance, social impact, and employee engagement. While these programs have been on the rise for a decade, the question is whether the trend continues as the economy takes a downward turn.

During times of economic uncertainty, obstacles to launching or expanding a giving program may seem greater  than ever. Corporate budgets are being cut; teams and support resources may be shrinking; and employees are belt tightening to ride out the uncertainty. But the answer may be counterintuitive: Do not hunker down or settle into inaction but, rather, expand giving and volunteering efforts in ways that are adapted for the times.

Download our guide to revisit the range of giving and volunteering programs and discover achievable ways to get started or expand current efforts (even with fewer resources).
