A few of us attended the Shared Value Summit last week, and we wanted to connect with as many of the great attendees as possible. So we partnered with Oxfam, a valued Bright Funds partner, to host our second Cocktails For A Cause Event.
Hosted at NY’s El Vez, there was gourmet bites and delicious cocktails, and great conversation with over 40 bright minds in the social impact space. And the best part – the drinks supported a cause.
We featured three drinks, each corresponding to one of our cause-based, Flagship Funds of nonprofits. The drink that was most popular equated to a donation to that Fund. The margarita was the most popular beverage, and we made a donation to our Clean Water Fund. This Fund includes four nonprofits that provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions through methods designed for sustainability.
The event was a hit with all that attended. It was a nice way to unwind after a day of work, and we were philanthropic in the process. Bright Funds makes a concerted effort to tie every component of our business to our mission, and this event was no different.
