Our expanded suite of philanthropy solutions will help clients accelerate their positive impact

Today we are finalizing the merger of Bright Funds and WizeHive, and I’m both humbled and excited by this opportunity. Joining forces with WizeHive, an industry leading provider of grants management solutions, will allow us to better serve our joint clients with a world-class, flexible philanthropy platform. I’m thrilled to be part of this expansion which comes at an important time in the growth of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) market.

Better together

In addition to having a philanthropy platform that is complementary to Bright Funds, WizeHive has strong financial backing, and they share our commitment to customer experience and success.

The opportunity: Giving is growing

Charitable giving has risen to record levels, totaling more than $470 billion in 2020, a 10% increase over 2018.i Technology providers like Bright Funds and WizeHive are increasingly becoming essential partners to foundations and CSR teams for expanding philanthropic activity. This includes evolving community investment and grantmaking initiatives, growing employee engagement and managing successful workplace giving programs.

WizeHive serves some of the most important mission-based organizations – foundations, universities, associations, government offices, and healthcare institutions – all over the world. Its platform, ZengineTM, is a cloud-based, flexible grant and scholarship management solution that provides a high level of configurability while being easy to deploy. Clients include the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, UPS, Chevron, The Nashville Predators, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Harvard and Stanford Universities and more. Earlier this year, WizeHive also secured a growth capital investment from LLR Partners to help drive continued growth, accelerate the advancement of the Zengine platform and strengthen customer success infrastructure.

That’s a great complement to Bright Funds, the trusted market leader in workplace giving, donation matching and employee volunteering solutions. With the Bright Funds’ all-in-one CSR platform, companies can build a culture of global giving and scale their impact with a personalized, intuitive experience that employees love. We help companies save time with simple program administration, employee engagement tools and managed donations disbursement. Our growing community of purpose-driven clients includes Cisco, VMware, Campbell’s, BrainPOP, Pinterest, CafeMedia, Purple, Calm, Foursquare and more. Bright Funds also provides a free portal for nonprofits where they can optimize workplace fund-raising with digital tools such as electronic payments and donor reports.

What this means for Bright Funds

One of our clients recently fondly referred to Bright Funds as being “scrappy,” just like they themselves used to be. They meant that, even though we are a small team, we do what it takes to help our clients succeed. Imagine what we will be able to accomplish with more resources and a bigger team! And that is exactly the opportunity this partnership brings to Bright Funds. By strengthening our team and expanding our capabilities, we will be better equipped to help clients multiply their impact.

In addition to having complementary solutions that will benefit all our clients, WizeHive and Bright Funds are driven by similar philosophies and cultures. WizeHive has a transparent, collaborative work environment, embedded in purpose, that emphasizes helping clients achieve, accelerate and expand their impact. Bright Funds values customer-focus, agility, innovation, transparency and delivering trusted experiences that are impactful and delightful. This means both organizations are laser-focused on helping clients succeed, whatever it takes.

A greater force for good

Our vision for this merger is simple – bring the best of WizeHive and the best of Bright Funds to the table to help our clients do more good. Having a single, flexible platform that can support the full range of philanthropic activities will give our clients what they need to scale and accelerate their impact. I’m excited for the journey to begin and can’t wait to see how we create new value for our teams and clients!
